About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our Generative AI Innovation Center team at AWS Emea Sarl (Italy Branch). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating cutting-edge generative AI algorithms to address real-world challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with AI/ML scientists and architects to research and develop innovative generative AI solutions
  • Interact with customers to understand business problems and implement generative AI solutions
  • Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, and presentations to technical and business stakeholders
  • Provide customer and market feedback to Product and Engineering teams to inform product direction
About the Team

The Generative AI Innovation Center team helps customers imagine and scope use cases that create the greatest value for their businesses. We select and train the right models, define paths to navigate technical or business challenges, develop proof-of-concepts, and make plans for launching solutions at scale.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science
  • Relevant experience in building large-scale machine learning or deep learning models
  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of AWS tech stack (e.g., AWS Redshift, S3, EC2, Glue)
  • PhD degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Proven knowledge of Generative AI and hands-on experience building applications with large foundation models
