As a key member of our Expansion Project Team, you will play a crucial role in managing construction contracts, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, Review, and Negotiate Contracts: Develop, review, and negotiate construction contracts, task orders, and work requests to acquire goods and services from contractors.
- Contract Monitoring: Monitor contracts during works execution, ensuring compliance with quantity surveying, process, and permitting transparency.
- Interface with Stakeholders: Collaborate with Direzione Lavori, Main Contractor, and Public Authorities to meet contract requirements.
- Claims and Discussions Management: Manage claims and discussions with Main Contractor and Direzione Lavori.
- Technical Contract Management: Ensure all technical aspects in the contract are understood and applied during works.
- Contract Development: Manage contract development through all lifecycle stages, ensuring insurance, bonding, and legal requirements are met and internal processes and records are maintained.
- Safety and Security Compliance: Comply with all safety and security rules and regulations, leading by example.
- Support to Department and Business Unit: Provide support to the department and business unit where required.
- Compliance with Corporate Guidelines: Follow the corporate authority matrix, contract policies compliance guidelines.
- Reporting and Improvement Opportunities: Actively report improvement opportunities to direct report.
- Language Skills: Good English (Italian and/or German are a plus)
- Technical Knowledge: Excellent understanding of the technical aspects of a construction project (i.e., design stages, works execution, test and commissioning)
- Experience: Previous experience with Direzione Lavori and/or as Client's Representative (ideally in infrastructures or environmental projects) with a focus on contract management
- Procurement Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract documents, and legal specifications
- Negotiation and Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Communication and Organisational Skills: Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks
- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience of successfully engaging and communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- Cultural Competence: Experience of working in a multicultural, international environment
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in project management, engineering, or law
