Sommelier Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commis de Rang Sommelier to join our team at Splendido Mare, A Belmond Hotel. As a key member of our restaurant team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional wine service and supporting the Sommelier in all wine-related activities.

• Fulfill operations according to company policies, high standards, and procedures.
• Take care of mise en place.
• Support the Chef de Rang and Sommelier with wine-related activities.
• Monitor customer experience and enhance a flawless service by anticipating guests' needs.

• Effective communication: communicate clearly and appropriately.
• Emotional intelligence: demonstrate sensitivity to guests' and colleagues' needs and emotions.
• Adaptability: identify when a different approach is needed and offer solutions.
• Collaboration: work as a team player, share information and skills, and actively seek and provide feedback.

• Fluent in Italian and English.
• Tourism or hospitality degree preferred.
• Previous professional experience in a similar role, including school internships.
• Passion for service and ambition to grow professionally.
• HACCP certification.
• Good knowledge of wines (AIS certification a plus).

• Seasonal labor contract according to C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo - 6s Commis de Rang Sommelier.
• Start date: March 2024 to End date: October 2024, with the aim of a continuous collaboration over subsequent seasons at Splendido and a career path.
• Salary as per CCNL, separate payslip for 13°, 14°, and TFR.
