The Smart Eyewear LAB: A Pioneering Project
The EssilorLuxottica Smart Eyewear LAB is a joint research platform between EssilorLuxottica and Politecnico di Milano aimed at designing the smart-glasses of the future. This pioneering project enables the development of new technologies and services using a widely used interface such as eyewear.
Join Our Research Team
We are looking for highly motivated and talented professionals to join our research team as junior or senior Principal Investigators. As a researcher in our Smart Eyewear Lab, you will be responsible for activities related to a specific research stream with the goal of developing smart glasses with the integration of new hardware, new algorithms, and software.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and development in the field of AR and smartglasses
- Collaborate with researchers and professors from Politecnico di Milano and top scientists from other universities
- Work in an international environment with MSc and PhD students
- Focus on current and up-to-date challenges related to technological research in the field of AR and smartglasses
Requirements
- R&D work experience (both from academy or company work environments)
- Various technical backgrounds as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent
- At least 2/3 years of experience (after PhD) or at least 5 years of experience (after Master's Degree) in the field of embedded systems, low power smart sensors, embedded machine learning, and signal processing
- International experience is considered a plus
- English fluent
