Optec SpA is seeking a skilled Thermal Engineer to join our team.

DUTIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing thermal models for optical subsystems in space and ground applications
• Designing active and passive thermal control systems
• Verifying thermal requirements specified by customers
• Issuing Thermal Analysis Reports and Model Descriptions
• Issuing thermal test predictions
• Issuing thermal test procedures
• Selecting thermal hardware suitable for thermal and thermal vacuum tests
• Operating the thermal and thermal vacuum chamber
• Conducting thermal and thermal vacuum tests
• Post-processing test results
• Issuing thermal test reports
• Correcting and correlating thermal models to match test results
• Supporting technical meetings with customers
• Procuring thermal hardware for passive and active thermal control

REQUIRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS:

• Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• At least 3 years of working experience
• High flexibility and team-working skills
• Good spoken and written English level
• Good knowledge of at least one of the following software: ESATAN TMS, Sinda/Fluint-Thermal Desktop, Simcenter 3D thermal/flow, Simcenter 3D Space System Thermal
• Previous experience in aerospace projects
• Knowledge of aerospace standards ECSS, MIL
