As a Frontend Developer at AKQA, you will be inspired by cutting-edge technology and possess a strong desire to develop pioneering technical solutions. We seek a seasoned expert in contemporary web technologies, dedicated to constructing top-tier applications that serve users across the evolving digital landscape.

In this position, you will play a vital role in designing and developing intricate ecosystems, engaging in both local and international projects characterized by highly interactive UI designs.

Working in a dynamic and meritocratic environment, you will be surrounded by some of the brightest talents in the industry, fostering collaboration and innovation.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Engage directly in the development of diverse solutions, including websites, web applications, CI pipelines, and microservices.
  • Collaborate with designers to transform UI/UX wireframes into engaging web pages.
  • Partner with backend developers to integrate APIs and various services.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure effective collaboration across all disciplines and to address daily challenges.
  • Optimize applications for peak performance and scalability.
  • Ensure the technical viability of UI/UX designs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues.
  • Write reusable code and libraries.
  • Contribute to minimizing technical risks and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Commit to performance, code quality, best practices, and delivering superior products.
  • Proactively plan activities in alignment with goals and deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of quality.

QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS

  • Open-minded and collaborative approach.
  • Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
  • Exceptionally creative with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in modern frontend libraries.
  • Knowledgeable in contemporary frontend frameworks.
  • Familiar with the JavaScript and web application ecosystem.
  • Experienced in advanced animation techniques (CSS, SVG, springs, canvas, etc.).
  • Proficient with GIT and its associated tools (branching flow, CLI commands, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Figma design tool.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) is advantageous.
  • Experience with CI, CD, and/or Unit Testing is a plus.
  • Nice to have: Development of 3D experiences (ThreeJS, Unity, Blender, etc.).
