Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at SEGULA Technologies, a global engineering leader in the energy, power, and oil and gas sectors. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing mechanical solutions for electrical low voltage cabinets, particularly for energy applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design mechanical cabinets, parts, and related accessories for electrical cabinets.
  • Perform FEM analysis of mechanical and structural parts.
  • Collaborate with electrical designers to develop mechanical solutions for electrical low voltage cabinets.
  • Develop and innovate mechanical layouts of electrical cabinets for indoor and outdoor applications.
  • Design and develop mechanical parts of electrical cabinets, such as plinths, brackets, supports, cooling systems, etc.
  • Develop mechanical prototypes using structural and thermal calculations/software.
  • Standardize parts and products.
  • Industrialize solutions or products.
  • Write and read technical specifications and functional descriptions.
Requirements:
  • Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • Fluent Italian and/or fluent English (read/written/spoken).
  • At least 3 years of experience in the mechanical design of electric cabinets is necessary.
  • Capacity to develop and innovate mechanical layout of electrical cabinet, for indoor and outdoor applications.
  • Capacity to develop mechanical parts of electrical cabinets like plinths, brackets, supports, cooling systems, etc.
  • Capacity to develop mechanical prototype by using structural and thermal calculations/software.
  • Capacity to standardize parts and products.
  • Capacity to industrialize solutions or products.
  • Write and read technical specifications and functional descriptions.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical 3D/2D integrated design by using 3D software (Inventor is mandatory. Capacity to use Fusion 360 or CATIA or NX is a plus).
  • Good knowledge of norms and standards for mechanical drawing.
  • Flexibility, problem-solving, and creativity are necessary.
