Introduction

We are seeking Assistant Store Manager Trainees to join our Lidl 2 your career program, designed in collaboration with AHK Italien, the Italian-German Chamber of Commerce, and the Technical Institutes of Brescia and Florence.

Candidates will be hired in October and November 2024 at various Lidl stores located in the province of Cremona.

The Position

You will undergo a 2-year training and work program, during which you will acquire all the necessary skills to become an Assistant Store Manager at Lidl stores.

  • You will be hired in October or November 2024 at one of the Lidl stores located in the province of Cremona.
  • During the two years, you will attend theoretical training at the Technical Institute of Brescia or Florence for approximately 1 week per month.
  • For 3 weeks per month, you will work at the Lidl store and receive on-the-job training.
  • At the Technical Institute, you will have the opportunity to focus on subjects related to economics and marketing, with in-depth studies on management, logistics, and retail.
  • At the store, you will work with the Store Manager to ensure optimal commercial and economic management of the store and will be the point of reference for colleagues and customers.
  • After two years, upon passing the final exams, you will receive a double title: the Diploma ITS of Assistant Store Manager (level 5 of the European Qualifications Framework) and the Certificate of the Italian-German Chamber of Commerce for the German reference profile, which attests to the practical professional skills acquired on-the-job and has international value on the labor market.
The Profile We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is between 18 and 29 years old.
  • Has a high school diploma or a professional diploma (obtained with a 4-year IeFP integrated with a 5th year of IFTS).
  • Is available to attend theoretical training at a Technical Institute (approximately 1 week per month).
  • Is motivated to acquire professional skills and work experience in a solid and structured company with a young, dynamic, and stimulating work environment.
  • Has a level of English A2/B1.
  • Considers themselves flexible, proactive, and enterprising.
  • Likes working in a team.
  • Is enthusiastic about taking on responsibilities and solving problems quickly and pragmatically.

  • A full-time job starting in October or November 2024 with a High Apprenticeship Contract for Training and Research, which includes theoretical training at a Technical Institute and practical work experience at Lidl stores.
  • You will be supported by a tutor didattico at the Technical Institute and a tutor aziendale at Lidl.
  • After two years, you will have the opportunity to continue your career at Lidl Italy and, in the medium to long term, you will be offered opportunities for career advancement.
  • Upon passing the final exams, you will receive two titles: the Diploma ITS (ministerial title of tertiary level) and the Certificate of Professional Competences of the Italian-German Chamber of Commerce.
