We are seeking a skilled Junior Front-end Developer to join our engineering team at Jeenka, a dynamic and innovative company.

This role involves working closely with our team to build the 'client-side' of our websites and web applications, utilizing your expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create functional and visually appealing interactive applications.

As a Junior Front-end Developer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing well-structured, testable, and efficient code using best software development practices.
  • Creating website layouts and user interfaces using standard HTML/CSS practices.
  • Integrating data from various back-end services and databases.
  • Gathering and refining specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
  • Creating and maintaining software documentation.
  • Maintaining, expanding, and scaling our websites.
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and applying them to our operations and activities.
  • Collaborating with web designers to ensure visual design intent is met.

Requirements for this role include:

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in CSS and HTML, including layouts and cross-browser compatibility, as well as CSS preprocessors (SCSS).
  • Basic expertise in JavaScript programming, including concepts like asynchronous programming, ES6, and closures.
  • Basic knowledge of WordPress and theme development.
  • Basic experience with bundlers (Gulp/Webpack).
  • Basic knowledge of PHP frameworks (Laravel) is a plus.
  • Understanding of web application security, session management, and best development practices.
  • Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a plus.
  • Good problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Fluency in Italian and English.
  • German is a plus.
