Job Title: Operations Associate
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Associate to join our team at Marken. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient use of packaging and supplies available in the warehouse to satisfy client and internal requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Take inventory of shipments within the facility and ensure they are handled correctly based on temperature, delivery date, and special handling instructions.
- Shipping and Receiving: Receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately, and ensure all shipments are properly labeled and documented.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Arrange for adequate supply of shipping materials at all times, and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and accurate.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean and organized daily, and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained.
- Communication: Escalate all inquiries and concerns to senior staff and leadership, and ensure that all communication is clear and concise.
Requirements:
- Operational Knowledge: Understanding of operating systems (Maestro) and SOP's is required.
- Logistics Experience: Experience with cold chain management/handling of dry ice is preferred.
- Labeling and Documentation: Demonstrated ability to properly label shipments (weight, contents, orientation, overpack, etc.) and complete accurate documentation.
- Airline Booking Procedures: Knowledge of airline booking procedures is required.
- Data Entry: Ability to enter data into TMS (Transportation Management System) is required.
- Flexibility: Ability to be flexible with shift hour coverage is required.
- Certifications: Forklift certification is desired, and dispatch experience is also desired.
