About the Role
This Procurement Specialist position has been created due to continuous growth and expansion at GEWISS, offering an exciting opportunity for career progression within a dynamic business. As part of the ISC department, you will report to the senior finished product buyer and work closely with R&I and GSS teams, as well as BU leaders and team members involved in the Digital transformation project related to Servitisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure products and services across categories, including hardware, software, and services, to meet the needs of GEWISS.
- Apply standard procurement principles to ensure effective and efficient sourcing.
- Meet deadlines and contracted KPIs, focusing on quick turnaround and savings.
- Respond to internal requests for quotations and negotiate with suppliers to achieve targets and increase savings for customers.
- Evaluate supplier performance, including price, quality, and delivery, to ensure optimal results.
- Onboard new suppliers and maintain existing supplier records, building and managing relationships through effective communication.
- Prepare and implement contracts with suppliers, engaging legal counsel and senior management when necessary.
- Understand customer needs and take prompt action on their requests, staying up-to-date on market changes that may affect supply and demand.
- Attend meetings and share best practices with colleagues, defining processes to improve operational efficiency and add value to the business.
- Develop ideas and strategies to improve business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.
- Produce and maintain bespoke reports to support business decision-making.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the IT industry, with roles including sourcing, buying, and supply chain management, preferably dealing with European countries.
- Experience in managing supplier interactions and reviewing contracts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
- Able to lead work and interact with suppliers and customers based in different countries.
- Analytical skills in evaluating supplier terms, comparing prices, and benchmarking data.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and negotiate with suppliers.
- A good knowledge of Microsoft Office, with SAP and CRM skills desirable.
