Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical and plumbing systems for buildings, ensuring compliance with international standards and company guidelines.
- Optimize system design and selection to meet technical and economic requirements, within budget and scheduled time constraints.
- Develop discipline design development according to main international standards and company work instructions.
- Design and size mechanical and plumbing equipment using discipline application software, functional schematics, and technical specifications.
- Interface and coordinate with other disciplines and architectural requirements to ensure seamless design integration.
- Prepare material requisitions and work requisitions in proposal and detailed design phases, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, contractual, and economic requirements.
- Provide technical support in bill of quantities preparation in proposal, detailed design, and construction phases.
- Follow up on client design reviews, provide technical clarifications, comments, and support design modifications.
- Assist the Mechanical and Plumbing Specialist or Building Design Leader in field engineering activities, including technical process approval, shop drawings, and vendor material follow-up, testing, and commissioning.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, specialized in HVAC and Plumbing systems.
- Fluent English speaker and writer.
- Knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing main international standards.
- Similar role experience covered in the last five years.
- Experience in mechanical and plumbing design processes, including design philosophies for buildings such as control rooms, electrical substations, laboratories, administration buildings, and process buildings/shelters.
- Field work experience and confidence working in and around industrial plant equipment, systems, and conditions.
- Experience working with MEP subcontractors.
- Knowledge of drafting tools (AutoCAD) and BIM tools (REVIT, Navisworks) as well as HVAC and Plumbing main design software (CARRIER HAP, REVIT integrated software's as MAGICAD).
- Energy modeling, analysis of non-residential buildings.
- Knowledge of green building rating systems (LEED or equivalent).
- Team-oriented, self-motivated with problem resolution, good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Availability to travel for short and long periods in Italy and abroad.
