About the Role

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Analyst to join the Italian Tax group. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in the Company's tax compliance, research and planning, execution, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and file accurate Income Tax Returns (Unico) and consolidated Tax Returns (CNM) for each Italian Legal Entity, supported by the Company's Tax advisors.
  • Assist with the preparation, analysis, and review of the year-end income tax provision as it relates to Statutory taxes for assigned subsidiaries and various computations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups within the Company and with external consultants as needed to solve tax-related issues.
  • Maintain a calendar of due dates for international tax compliance and reporting tasks.
  • Support the Italian Tax team to prepare/Review VAT/Indirect Tax filings, prepare/Review all Direct Tax filings and Withholding tax return, and assist with Italian payroll tax compliance.
  • Assist with Italian tax audit inquiries and general Domestic Tax compliance as needed for all Italian Business.
  • Support Audit and Internal Controls, handling audit queries (internal and external), prepare of audit and reconciliation schedules, support STAT FS and Consolidated STAT FS for the Tax portion, and deal with external auditors.
  • Prepare accurate Transfer Pricing documentation, supported by the Company's Tax advisors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups within the Company and with external consultants as needed to prepare all necessary documentation to obtain tax benefits (R&D, Capex, Industria 4.0).
  • Support Finance Transformation projects and implementation, as well as Ad-hoc requests from Corporate.
Requirements
  • Formal Education: Bachelor's degree with Minimum of 4 years GL accounting and taxes, Certified accountant, Post graduate degree or Masters degree in business and accounting education according to Italian accounting standards.
  • Knowledge & Experience: Strong Excel skills, Italian native language, strong command of English, written and spoken, previous experience working in an audit environment or a multinational organization with 2+ years of finance/accounting experience, advantage to have 2+ years of experience Oracle ERP accounting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to communicate financials and related issues in clear business language, and drive and assertiveness to achieve work deadline and performance goals.
