Job Summary

Kuehne + Nagel As is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Logistics Operations Manager to join our team in Mantua, Italy. As a key member of our Contract Logistics department, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring the efficient flow of goods and services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Site Manager and cross-functional teams to develop and implement warehouse operations strategies that meet business goals and customer requirements.
  • Plan and manage logistics services, including receipt, inspection, storage, delivery, and handling of returned/damaged goods.
  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure efficient operation and utilization of all operating equipment.
  • Manage and supervise a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their performance goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and logistics partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and quality standards, including safety and security protocols.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in large-scale, highly automated fulfillment operations, preferably in the e-commerce, fashion, or retail industry.
  • Proven track record of success in people management, with experience leading small to medium-sized teams (20-50 people).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with P&L and budget management, preferably in a logistics or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
