Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer specializing in electrical design to contribute to our projects from initial concept through to production. In this role, you will be a vital member of the project team, responsible for overseeing electrical engineering aspects of chiller projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems, including circuits, wiring diagrams, and components for diverse projects.
  • Create comprehensive electrical schematics, layouts, and drawings utilizing industry-standard software.
  • Ensure adherence to electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical components into new products or systems.
  • Engage in product development from concept to production, including prototyping and testing phases.
  • Identify and select suitable components and materials for electrical designs.
  • Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems to guarantee functionality and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, implementing design modifications as necessary.
  • Maintain precise and current documentation of electrical designs and modifications.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create Bill of Materials (BOM) and assist in procurement and manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate and analyze costs associated with electrical components and systems.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose design optimizations.
  • Ensure project completion within budget constraints.
  • Guarantee compliance of all electrical designs with relevant safety standards and regulations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in design reviews and risk assessments.
  • Support production and service teams in addressing issues related to controls or electrical design.

Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronic engineering, or a minimum technician degree with relevant work experience in electrical engineering.
  • High level of self-motivation, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Experience with PLC controls is advantageous.
  • Experience in a research and development environment is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with chiller technology is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Italian is preferred.
  • Strong general technical knowledge.
  • Background in PLC programming.
