We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Writing Scientist to join our team at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. As a Medical Writing Scientist, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of innovative medical solutions to address important unmet medical needs.
Key Responsibilities- Write and coordinate clinical documents, including protocols, clinical study reports, tables of studies, narratives, and investigator's brochures, with oversight.
- Perform document quality control, literature searches, table creation, and other tasks.
- Partner with experienced colleagues on document planning, timelines, and content development according to internal processes.
- Participate in or lead cross-functional document planning and review meetings independently or with oversight.
- May participate in initiatives to improve medical writing processes and standards.
- Acquire, maintain, and apply knowledge of industry, company, and regulatory guidelines.
- Regularly meet with manager and mentors and attend departmental meetings.
- A university/college degree in a scientific discipline is the minimum requirement, with an advanced degree (e.g., Master's degree, PhD, MD) preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant pharmaceutical/scientific experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and summarize scientific or medical data.
- Ability to function in a team environment and to build solid and positive relationships with cross-functional team members.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong time management and project/process management skills.
- Demonstrated learning agility.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- A highly competitive salary range of $88,000 to $141,450 in the USA and $101,000 to $162,725 in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA.
- An annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
- A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
- Eligibility to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
