Local Unit & Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Surveyor to become a part of our NB&CMC team, reporting to the local Line Management. The NB&CMC team operates within DNV Maritime, focusing on various regions including Iberia, Italy, and Malta.

This area encompasses all maritime business functions and is comprised of approximately 60 professionals across 11 locations. Our operations are divided into two primary Service Lines:

- Newbuilding and Certification-Verification of materials and components (NB&CMC)
- Fleet in Service (FiS), integrated within the business Unit FiS West Europe.

Our clientele demands a comprehensive array of certification services, ranging from materials and welding procedures to pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, gears, thrusters, electrical installations, automation systems, lifting appliances, and complex offshore packages.

We also provide classification services for large and intricate vessels, covering the entire process from design to final delivery.

Building on our traditional expertise, we are now embracing advanced technologies, including fuel cells, innovative turbine designs, advanced electrical drives, and lithium battery systems for maritime propulsion.

Our ambition is to lead in innovation, digital transformation, and customer-centric solutions. To achieve this, we continuously evaluate and implement new working methodologies across various disciplines. Recent initiatives include electronic certifications, remote inspections, additive manufacturing, sensor-based maintenance, alternative fuels, and autonomous vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Systems Engineering.

• Specialization in integrated safety control and monitoring systems is advantageous.

• A valid driving license is required.
