Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Accountant to become a vital part of our Global Business Services division.

About Us:
Wilhelmsen Group operates a comprehensive Global Business Services division, focused on delivering exceptional, scalable, and cost-effective support services across Finance, HR, and IT sectors.

Position Summary:
The Accountant will be responsible for executing professional accounting and financial tasks for our Italian legal entity, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and objectives.

Reporting Structure:
This role will report directly to the Finance Manager based in another location.

Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who is eager to learn and contribute to team enhancements. You should be deadline-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work. A proven history of optimizing business processes is essential. The successful candidate will be personable, technically proficient, and diligent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations
  • Analyze profit and loss accounts and provide commentary on variations
  • Assist with the financial year-end closing process
  • Report local financial figures in accordance with group guidelines
  • Review local figures for submission to tax authorities
  • Conduct intercompany reconciliations
  • Support both external and internal audits
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations as well as external requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • A university degree in accounting and/or finance
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in finance software such as IFS, SAP, or similar
  • Strong command of the English language, both spoken and written
  • Excellent MS Office skills, particularly in MS Excel
