Join Roarington in Preserving the Legacy of Classic Cars

At Roarington, we are dedicated to the heritage and conservation of classic automobiles in an ever-evolving world. Our mission is to contribute to the sustainable future of classic cars in the digital age, engaging a younger audience in a vibrant metaland. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the physical and digital realms of classic cars, bringing digital representations to life in our innovative environment.

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to oversee and enhance our platform, which features a metaland powered by pixel streaming technology from Unreal Engine. Currently managed by an external provider, we aim to transition this operation in-house. As our inaugural DevOps engineer, your role will encompass the complete management of the platform's deployment and operation, assessing and monitoring the technologies and services utilized, and implementing platform updates. You will also share your expertise with your colleagues at Roarington. Given that our system is stable and operational, we anticipate that DevOps responsibilities will occupy no more than 20% of your time. The majority of your efforts will be focused on backend engineering, developing and expanding the platform's backend to accommodate additional user stories and enhance the experience for our visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and operate the Roarington platform.
  • Maintain and revise agreements with service and hosting providers.
  • Deploy updates and rectify issues.
  • Create tools to minimize errors and enhance user experience.
  • Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of applications.
  • Investigate and resolve technical challenges.
  • Develop and sustain server-side application logic.
  • Create APIs for web and mobile applications.
  • Implement automated testing protocols.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or in a comparable software engineering position.
  • Proven experience in a DevOps role.
  • Expertise in Docker, Git, and Linux as release technologies.
  • Experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Java, with knowledge of C# and .NET being a plus.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with Unreal Engine.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
