Thermal Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Thermal Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Thales Alenia Space. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing thermal control systems for our spacecraft and satellites.
Key Responsibilities:- Sizing of Loops: Determine the optimal size of thermal control loops based on heat loads, pressure drops, air velocities, and other relevant factors.
- Equipment Selection: Choose the most suitable equipment, including pumps, cold plates, radiators, heat exchangers, valves, sensors, and fan assemblies, to meet the thermal control requirements.
- Loop Layout and Piping Routing: Design the layout and routing of thermal control loops and piping to ensure efficient heat transfer and minimize pressure drops.
- Technical Specifications: Develop detailed technical specifications for equipment procurement and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Technical Follow-up: Monitor the design, development, manufacturing, qualification, and acceptance of thermal control equipment and piping.
- Proposal Evaluation: Assess proposal data packages from equipment providers, ensuring technical and programmatic compliance.
- Engineering Contribution: Provide engineering support for piping manufacturing, procurement, and integration.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with Quality Assurance to discuss and resolve non-conformance reports during equipment and piping manufacturing, integration, and testing.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit reports to internal and external customers.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: Proven experience in thermal control systems engineering, with a strong understanding of thermo-fluid dynamic fundamentals.
- Skills: Excellent knowledge of space hardware life cycle processes, applicable standards, and ATCS & ECLS main requirements, functions, architectures, and equipment.
- Language: Fluency in English (spoken and written).
