Job Description

A reputable audit firm with a strong presence in Nicosia is seeking a highly experienced Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, have an in-depth understanding of the General Basic Cyprus Tax Legislation, and hold a relevant degree.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive accounting, VAT, VIES, and daily banking services to a portfolio of international clients.
  • Liaise with clients to obtain necessary information for accounting and company AML procedures.
  • Analyze complex financial reports and records.
  • Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and prepare accounts and management information.
  • Prepare General Ledgers and Trial Balances and management accounts on set time periods.
  • Assist in the preparation of all documents required for accounting, including engagement letters, company documentation, and other confirmation letters.
  • Support the audit process by liaising with auditors and responding to any questions or queries.
Candidate Profile
  • Hold a degree in Accounting, Economics, or be a partly qualified accountant.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar position is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language. Knowledge of Russian is considered an additional advantage.
  • Very good knowledge of General Basic Cyprus Tax Legislation.
  • Knowledge of Caseware and e-soft is considered an additional advantage.
