About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cost Management Specialist to join our team at BCS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert cost management services to our clients in the data centre sector.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost and commercial management, with experience in pre-contract cost modelling and planning, negotiation, procurement, post-contract cost management, contract creation, execution, and analysis. You will also have excellent technical skills and be able to work as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cost management strategies to maximize operational and financial performance
  • Provide expert advice on cost and commercial matters to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Manage and coordinate cost-related activities, including cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, and develop strategies to minimize costs

Requirements:

  • Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent
  • Strong measurement and cost planning expertise
  • JCT / FIDIC experience
  • Commercially astute with good negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
