About the Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our team at the Humanitas Research Center in Milano, Italy. The selected candidate will work closely with our team of scientists to investigate circadian metabolic disruptions in cardiovascular disease, with a particular focus on heart failure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support in vivo murine experiments
  • Utilize state-of-the-art approaches to assess cardiovascular function and metabolic status in wild-type and genetically modified mice
  • Conduct cardiovascular phenotyping using various pre-clinical heart failure models
  • Operate metabolic cages for metabolic phenotyping

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in biological or physical sciences
  • Hands-on experience in animal cardiovascular surgical procedures (TAC and MI)
  • Experience with high-resolution echocardiography and hemodynamic evaluation (PV-LOOP)
  • At least 2 years of experience in an animal facility
