Job Summary

Allegion is seeking a highly skilled Systems Architect Firmware to develop, implement, and maintain product architectures that meet the organization's objectives. The ideal candidate will evaluate technical needs, design documents, and propose architectural approaches to ensure the development of secure and reliable firmware.

Main Responsibilities

  • Evaluate technical needs and design documents to develop firmware architectures that meet the organization's objectives.
  • Propose architectural approaches to ensure the development of secure and reliable firmware.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional senior engineers, product management, and test engineers to contribute to all phases of development, delivery, and support.
  • Apply structured problem-solving techniques to determine root causes and possible corrective actions.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of C, C++, and C# languages.
  • Ability to integrate components, including sensors and actuators operating in smart products and access control systems.
  • Manage requirements change and analyze impacts of engineering changes (cost, schedule, capability).

Additional Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with other wireless protocols, such as Wifi and Zigbee.
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of electrical circuits (PCB diagrams, layouts).
  • Experience with smart devices, smart home systems, and IoT.
