Job Description

Job Title: Regional Business Development Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Business Development Manager to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our commercial leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and revenue expansion in the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Target Achievement: Collaborate with country teams to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities, develop action plans to address revenue shortfalls or margin gaps, and regularly review sales pipelines, forecast accuracy, and performance metrics to ensure targets are met.
  • Salesforce Effectiveness: Monitor and optimize front-line sales (FLS) effectiveness metrics to maximize revenue per FLS headcount, prioritize sales efforts, and provide coaching to sales managers.
  • Business Strategy Development: Contribute to shaping the business strategy, coordinate sales target setting, create a compelling storyline, and prepare country-specific presentations for annual and long-range plans.
  • Service Business Development: Project manage the development of a profitable services business model, build and refine service offerings, including maintenance contracts, after-sales support, and upgrades, and collaborate with technical teams to ensure service quality.
  • Sales Transformation: Temporarily manage a sales region during transition periods, guide the sales team through organizational shifts, maintain morale and focus, and ensure process alignment across regions.
  • Business Integration: On a project basis, be responsible for seamless integration between different entities within the organization, collaborate with cross-functional teams, redistribute roles and responsibilities, resolve conflicts, and ensure data integration.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business, or related field is required, MBA or other relevant advanced degree can be advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years experience in sales, business development, or a related field, with a significant portion of that time spent in a regional or global role, experience in the EMEA HVAC market with an understanding of customer needs and regulatory trends.
  • Skills: Strong business acumen with demonstrated success in achieving revenue and margin targets, and developing business strategies, experience in managing complex projects, particularly those involving cross-functional teams and business integration, excellent communication skills in English, with experience in presenting to senior leadership.
