About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced European Sales Director to lead our business development strategy and new and existing retail relationships for Gunnebo Entrance Control in Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, develop, qualify, and close the pipeline of new business opportunities in Europe.
  • Maintain and develop a client hunting list, pipeline, and sales plan.
  • Ensure the assigned annual sales plan for the role is achieved.
  • Responsible for nurturing and developing relationships with our existing clients.
  • Understand and act upon cross-selling opportunities and present applicable Gunnebo's solutions and services of our full product portfolio.
  • Understand and interpret prospective client's security, operational, and financial objectives.
  • Maintain frequent contact with all clients and deliver best-in-class customer service by providing new solutions that apply to client needs.
  • Deliver advanced solution presentations, (verbal and written) to prospective customers that comprehensively outline the solutions, benefits, and ROI to the client.
  • Train partners on our products and services.
  • Work closely with operations to ensure major projects are successfully completed and signed off by the customer, and with all the colleagues to ensure the delivery of the sales targets, order intakes, and Gross Margins.
  • Understand and monitor market trends and competitor activity.
  • Stay current with external and internal developments within the industry.
  • Communicate to the direct manager opportunity and issues and propose solutions.
  • Set up ways of monitoring performance of clients and ensure appropriate follow-ups.
  • Suggest new product development ideas.
  • Attend trade shows and exhibitions.
  • Participate and support debt collection.
  • Travel is required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years sales management and 3 years business development experience.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in the access control Industry (technical or sales or managerial) with a solid working knowledge of security solutions.
  • A team player with an eagerness to learn.
  • A strong network in the commercial properties and institutional verticals.
  • A proven background utilizing a consultative / solution sales approach strategy.
  • Proven ability to network, prospect, and convert new clients and build strong relationships.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly understand the client's business, processes, and objectives that will translate into effective solution propositions.
  • The ability to work under pressure, work independently, and persevere.
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software packages and overall computer skills and a preference with Dynamics 365.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
