About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Quality Manager to join our team at KION Group. As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing our local quality team, ensuring the quality of our factory products, and implementing standardized processes and quality guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the local quality team, including Supplier Quality, Operations Quality, Customer Quality, and Quality Management System.
  • Ensure the quality of factory products meets market and legal requirements, including CE conformity.
  • Develop and implement standardized processes at production level and implement KION Quality guidelines.
  • Implement best-practice standards and quality assurance measures for internal production processes, auditing of line processes, product and component auditing, quality gate planning, and employee training.
  • Evaluate the external quality of the plant at customers, organize and lead measures for consistent improvement.
  • Act as the CTO Onsite representative and clearly defined contact person for main local stakeholders, including local management and internal interface partners.
  • Participate in local management meetings and initiatives, and provide quality representation in local decision-making, Steering Committees, and work groups.
  • Support external audits of the plant (ISO 9001, environmental audits, etc.) and provide/coordinate/initiates solutions within the CTO Organization along established processes and responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a degree in engineering science.
  • At least 15 years of experience in production processes and their quality requirements.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the automotive industry or at a sub-supplier.
  • Preferably international working experience in different countries.
  • Leadership experience, preferably in a multi-department quality organization.
  • Experience in shop floor quality requirements.
  • Strong knowledge in quality methods (PPAP, FMEA, APQP, 8D, Control plan, root cause analysis).
  • Preferably knowledge of process design, Six Sigma, and Lean.
  • Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and great negotiation skills.
  • Proven development of team members and execution of skill development systems.
  • Software skills in common software packages of Microsoft Office, SAP, PowerBI are mandatory.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
  • Willingness to travel.
