Job Summary

Ferrero SpA is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Control Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supervising all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical control systems, including PLC programming, HMI design, and configuration.
  • Manage the installation and support of PLC-based hardware and software.
  • Plan and manage new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, improve quality, and reduce downtime.
  • Identify and resolve malfunctioning of equipment or systems, providing technical support and guidance to maintenance and production team members.
  • Program Logic Controllers (PLCs) and configure HMI/OIT systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, such as UL and CE.
  • Familiarity with vision systems, motion controllers, and variable frequency drive systems.
  • Read and understand electrical schematics, ladder logic programs, process flow diagrams, and process and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Experience and skill in troubleshooting control system issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or Business.
  • 3 to 5 years of process industry-related experience with automation control, PLC ladder logic programming, HMI design, and configuration.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Sharp, quick, dedicated, and innovative problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions

This position requires knowledge and awareness of manufacturing and industrial sites. Protective gear will be required where appropriate. Position requires ability to work varying start times and weekends dependent on business needs.
