**Job Summary**
Hitachi is seeking a highly skilled Service & Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning of projects with low to medium complexity. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective completion of all commissioning activities, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of commissioning activities, working closely with the Installation Supervisor / Site Manager to ensure seamless execution.
- Implement commissioning design changes and provide mark-ups for as-built project documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Support the development of proposals for engineering projects, including the provision of bills of materials and estimated engineering hours.
- Collaborate with Contract Managers to issue claims, providing detailed information on new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, and risk quantifications.
- Create work plans and cost estimates for work in your area of responsibility, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Conduct risk and opportunity assessments during the commissioning phase, identifying and reporting potential risks related to contract, quality, program, and cost, and recommending resolutions to management.
- Initiate and monitor risk mitigation plans in your area of responsibility, ensuring stakeholders are updated on associated technical risks.
- Conduct regular Safety Observation tours to report and mitigate potential HSE hazards, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Coordinate site activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance certification, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and recommend new effective solutions to meet business and customer needs, providing relevant information pertaining to commissioning assignments and meetings with customers.
- Manage external organizations to ensure the availability of commissioning equipment, systems, or services, providing relevant information to stakeholders.
- Provide feedback to the organization to apply lessons learned, ensuring continuous improvement and process optimization.
- Ensure all commissioning activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements, applying and improving processes and tools in your technical area to ensure effective project delivery.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrotechnical Engineering or Technical Diploma.
- 2-5 years of experience with control and protection systems is desirable.
- Good knowledge of English (B1/B2).
- Experience with test devices (Omicron, Isa) is an asset.
- Ability to work in a team and problem-solving.
- Availability to travel between Italy and Europe (90%).
