Position Overview:
Altair Engineering is on the lookout for an Intern to become a part of its Learning Experience Design team, with a focus on Simulation and High-Performance Computing.
In this role, the Intern will collaborate with the Learning team, Subject Matter Experts, and Program Management stakeholders to develop and validate training materials.
Responsibilities will include creating core content and assessing training formats utilized by the Learning team, refining engineering simulation workflows for selected materials, and achieving proficiency in software essential for engineering simulation and high-performance computing tasks.
The individual will leverage strong technical skills to fulfill organizational learning goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Acquire relevant knowledge and content Design, develop, and sustain technical training material strategies as required Ensure that the latest workflows, features/tools, enhancements, and methodologies are accurately documented Collaborate with Experts to gather feedback on existing materials Maintain uniform formatting across all materials Assist in updating practices associated with product delivery Learn about new features/tools as they become available Organize and lead meetings with Specialists globallyRequired Qualifications:
Essentials:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Biomedical Engineering Strong understanding of mechanical properties Proficient in the Office suite Familiarity with computer-aided design software (FEM) Proficient in English (speaking, listening, writing) Effective time management abilities Analytical mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills Ability and curiosity to connect daily tasks to broader objectives Team collaboration and leadership capabilities Willingness to travel Comfortable using technology (communication tools) Fluency in Italian and English in both writing and speaking is essentialPreferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Altair Solutions products such as HyperWorks, OptiStruct, Radioss, or other Solvers Experience with various FEM software/solvers Advanced knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Experience in delivering training (virtual or in-person) Background in creating training materials is advantageous Proven experience in a similar role involving the design, implementation, and execution of learning and development strategies in a multinational context Willingness to take initiative and manage responsibilities independently Strong foundational knowledge of modeling best practices Excellent communication and time management skills Ability to teach classes internally or to customers as neededBenefits:
