Role Overview

As a Lead Procurement Strategist, you will manage and integrate the organization’s procurement functions, ensuring they align with corporate objectives while promoting cost efficiency and operational effectiveness. You will report directly to the Head of Procurement.

Your mission includes:

  • Formulating and executing procurement strategies. Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies that support corporate goals and adhere to ESG standards.
  • Supplier and vendor relations. Cultivate and sustain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to secure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Cost management and enhancement. Collaborate with relevant teams to optimize cost management, ensuring alignment with financial and strategic objectives. Regularly manage and update procurement cost analytics.
  • Purchasing operations. Oversee and enhance purchasing activities to guarantee timely deliveries, cost efficiency, and adherence to processes.
  • Financial alignment and budget oversight. Ensure alignment with corporate financial targets by managing budgets across various sectors.
  • Monitoring and analytics. Continuously track and report on key performance indicators related to procurement operations, utilizing data-driven insights to refine processes and introduce efficiencies.
  • Contract evaluation. Review and amend vendor contracts to ensure compliance and optimal conditions.

Your ideal profile:

  • Educational qualifications and relevant experience. You hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline, with over 3 years of experience in procurement management. Experience in operational efficiency and cost management is advantageous.
  • Strategic insight and leadership. You exhibit strategic insight and leadership capabilities, aligning tasks with broader corporate objectives and making informed decisions.
  • Negotiation skills and market insight. You possess exceptional negotiation skills and a strong understanding of market dynamics. Experience related to ESG is a plus.
  • Communication and relationship management. You are an outstanding communicator, capable of conveying complex information to teams and vendors. You can foster positive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Language skills. Proficient in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Italian or other European languages is considered beneficial.
