IT Architect Mainframe Specialist

About the Role
At 3240 Kyndryl Italia S.P.A., we design, build, manage, and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. As an IT Architect Mainframe Specialist, you will be responsible for the overall success of the technical solution from construction, implementation, and system integration in a technology, industry, or business specialty.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver new and high-quality solutions to clients in response to varying business requirements.
- Implement and design optimization and transformation mainframe projects, with a particular focus on:
- Defining target Mainframe Architecture and guiding customers to develop a plan to Optimize or Move off from the Platform.
- Deep expertise in z/OS and DB2 migration projects.
- Application Modernization Project, including knowledge of the Microfocus suite.
- Leading Mainframe projects from the Solution to the Delivery Phase.
Requirements
- Italian speaker.
- Strong understanding of z/OS, and z/DB2 technologies to be applied to complex projects.
- Experience in Mainframe Technical Health Checks.
- Experience with Capacity and Performance Analysis - Experience with Mainframe software and platform upgrade.
- Experience in Mainframe Data Offloading projects.
- Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Strong system design background.
- Able to navigate fast-paced and rapidly evolving environments.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing technology requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- IBM z/OS Professional Certificate.
- DB2 for z/OS Certified Administrator.
- Programming Language Knowledge (Cobol, Java).
- IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator.
- Microfocus suite.
