Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at DHL Germany.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable Management:
    • Maintain and monitor credit limits to ensure timely payment from customers.
    • Review and allocate incoming payments to ensure accurate financial records.
    • Credit screen and monitor customers to minimize bad debt.
    • Handle dunning process to recover outstanding payments.
  • Accounts Payable Management:
    • Post and archive incoming vendor invoices, including cost split, allocation, and validation.
    • Reconcile accounts with creditors to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Manage supplier master data, including vendor onboarding.
  • Month-End Closing Support:
    • Reconcile IC accounts to ensure accurate financial records.
    • Prepare timely HR KPIs to inform business decisions.
  • VAT Declaration:
    • Calculate monthly VAT liability and reconcile to SAP.
    • Prepare monthly VAT register and submit VAT data to tax authorities.
  • Run Projects and Enhancements:
    • Independently manage finance-related projects and enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Act as a counterpart for sales, customer service, and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare parts of the reporting package to inform business decisions.
    • Support Head of Finance with insights, analysis, and data.
  • Intrastat Declaration:
    • Prepare monthly Intrastat form and submit Intrastat declaration.

Your Profile:

  • Relevant financial education or Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an international environment.
  • Accounts receivable experience, including collection, reminders, legal, and reporting.
  • SAP knowledge in AP/AR.
  • Experience with VAT declarations.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Reliable, flexible, and excellent communication skills.
  • Italian is a must, fluent in English, German is a plus.
  • Hands-on mentality.
  • Strong analytical skills, a high affinity for numbers, and a solution-oriented approach.
