Position Overview
As a Personal Care Specialist, you will deliver essential personal assistance and supportive services tailored to individual care plans. Your role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of clients in their residences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care Support: Assist clients with daily living activities, including but not limited to:
    • Hygiene assistance (bathroom support, bathing, oral care, skin and hair maintenance)
    • Mobility support
    • Nutritional assistance
    • Dressing assistance
    • Grooming support
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and snacks following specific dietary guidelines.
  • Health-Related Tasks: Execute client-specific tasks as instructed by nursing staff, which may include:
    • Ostomy care
    • Dressing changes
    • Range of motion exercises
    • Dietary measurements and preparations
    • Vital signs monitoring
    • External catheter application
  • Household Management: Conduct light housekeeping duties, such as:
    • Vacuuming and dusting
    • Floor cleaning
    • Dishwashing
    • Laundry and linen changes
    • Bathroom sanitation
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Minimum of six months experience in a similar role within healthcare settings.
  • Completion of a state-recognized Nurse Aide or Personal Care Assistant training program.
  • CPR certification is advantageous.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English as required for the position.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Completion of 30-40 hours of foundational care training is necessary.
