Principal Application Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Application Architect to join our team at Tagetik Software S.r.l. as a key member of our Software Department. As a Principal Application Architect, you will play a critical role in leading the software architecture definition, collaborating with other teams and Software Architects, and providing technical leadership to the Software Department.

• Define the Product Architecture Evolution: Identify opportunities and drive the right choices to ensure the product architecture is aligned with business requirements.
• Assist Teams in the Product Life Cycle: Provide guidance on maintaining alignment with the overall software architecture, collect insights for emerging architecture, and assist teams in the product life cycle.
• Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Work with Product Management, the CTO, and other key stakeholders to define and explain the vision of the product architecture.
• Investigate and Propose Next-Generation Technologies: Investigate and propose next-generation technologies to solve current and future technical challenges.
• Maintain a Holistic View of the System: Ensure a comprehensive understanding of the system and its components.
• Master Methodologies and Technologies: Stay up-to-date with methodologies and technologies related to the product software development life cycle and its enabling tools.
• Cooperate with Product Management: Address business requirements and their implications on architecture and non-functional requirements.
• Drive and Lead Challenging Situations: Take leadership when the Software Department is facing challenging situations.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science: Or equivalent field, with work experience may substitute for education requirements.
• Strong Experience with Java or C#: And their application development frameworks, such as Spring.
• Strong Understanding of Design Patterns: API design, SOLID, and Clean Code principles, and exposure to software development best practices.
• Solid Experience with Test Practices: Unit, integration, and E2E testing, and their automation.
• Strong Presentation and Public Speaking Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong Understanding of Cloud Computing Platforms: AWS, Azure, virtualization, and orchestration technologies.
• Good Knowledge of SDLC Tools: Jira, GIT, IntelliJ, Maven, npm.
• Strong Experience in DevOps Practices: IaC, and proven experience in designing Distributed Systems.
• Good Knowledge of Publish-Subscribe Concepts: Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ.
• Strong Judgment and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
• Good Experience in Application Performance Analysis: And resulting optimizations.
• Proven Experience in Software Requirements Analysis: And writing technical documentation.
• Experience with Relational Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SAP HANA.
• Fluency in Italian and Proficiency in English: Ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
