About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY ITALY S.P.A. in Monselice, Italy. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for creating and modifying standard designs of transformer internal active parts, including core, windings, connection leads, and insulation parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Design transformer internal active parts, including drawings and electrical calculations, according to specifications and internal standards.
- Contribute to design reviews and design verification with the project design team.
- Identify variation requests to support contract claims.
- Follow work plans and ensure quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost.
- Report any contract, quality, program, or cost issues to management for resolution.
- Attend project meetings and present specific aspects of design assignments.
- Collaborate with the supply chain function, review vendor documentation, prepare RFQs, and provide design-related evaluation of proposals for materials and equipment.
- Support production function during manufacturing process of active part to ensure execution of the project in line with drawings and standard procedures.
- Use standard processes and tools, assist in developing new processes and tools for reuse of technical solutions.
- Run 2D or 3D FEM dielectric verification for specific critical components.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or technical diploma.
- 1-2 years of experience in the technical department area is preferred.
- Good knowledge of 2D CAD software and 3D modeling, with preference for PTC Creo.
- Fluency in Italian and good knowledge of English (B1/B2).
- Proactivity, good attention to detail, and strong communication skills are required.
