Data Center Project Director:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct interlocutor with customer: head for project monitoring and to raise risks and possible solutions.
  • Consulting of construction projects, monitoring, and proposals of the projects from a technical aspect, planning, economic, quality, and health & safety.
  • Undertake feasibility study (technical, economic, and planning) of projects and works.
  • Works planning and coordination of multidisciplinary teams and long lead equipment.
  • PMP elaboration, and definition of project strategies.
  • Development of the process and purchasing strategy, as well as management of the Project and/or Construction Packages Tender.
  • Suppliers selection and customer presentation.
  • Preparation of technical dossier for tender, reception of offers, realization of comparative, and issuance of award recommendation.
  • Organization of regular work monitoring meetings.
  • Management and moderation of meetings.
  • Preparation of Minutes of Meetings and periodic reports.
  • Cost control, planning, change orders, and billing follow-up.
  • Management and control of the commissioning of the work and facilities.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or Industrial engineering with specialty in electrical and/or mechanical installations, or similar.
  • Experience in design and construction management of Critical Infrastructures like Hospitals or Data Centers (+30MW and over) for at least 10 years.
  • 10-year experience in the construction sector (projects and works).
  • Essential knowledge of laws and regulations related to installations (mechanical, electric, water,...).
  • Analysis capacity for risk detection or failure points is required, as well as the ability to search and proposal for solutions.
  • Leadership capacity to achieve objectives and milestone compliance.
  • Collaborative and team worker.
  • Good in communication and management skills of multidisciplinary work teams.
  • Experience in dealing with customers for reporting and decision-making.
  • Good level of use of Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Project/Primavera, TCQ/Presto, BIM 360 is required.
  • Experience in companies with hierarchical structures and internal procedures.
  • Organized in the analysis, structured in the reporting, and transmission of information. With criteria in the conclusions and prioritization of needs.
