Job Summary

Ferrero Spa is seeking a highly skilled Sanitation Operations Lead to oversee the organization of custodial activities throughout our plant and warehouse. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of sanitation, safety, and compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate custodial activities to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Develop and implement sanitation schedules and protocols to ensure compliance with AIB, SQF, and other relevant standards
  • Train and mentor janitorial staff on proper cleaning methods, equipment operation, and safety procedures
  • Conduct regular inspections and investigations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Monitor inventory of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment, and communicate with the Sanitation Supervisor to ensure timely replenishment
  • Report safety hazards and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Evaluate and verify staff performance through regular reviews and feedback
  • Participate in departmental activities, such as meetings and project groups, to contribute to the overall team effort
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the food industry, preferably in a sanitation or facilities management role
  • Proven track record of ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs and operate a forklift and sky jack
  • Computer proficiency in electronic communication, with a preference for Microsoft Office
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
