Job Summary

Expeditors is seeking a highly skilled Customs Clearance Specialist to join our team. As a Customs Clearance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and timely customs process flow for our clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely customs clearance for imports and exports
  • Verify and validate customs declaration information to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve customs-related issues
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in customs regulations and procedures
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customs brokers and other external partners

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. international trade, logistics, business)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customs clearance or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

Working Relationships

  • Reports to the Customs Clearance Manager
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, and customer service teams
