Data Analyst

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Fxcm. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in supporting data-driven decision-making and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced data analysis and provide actionable insights to inform business decisions.
• Develop and maintain analytical solutions, dashboards, statistical models, and predictive algorithms to enhance decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify trends, solve complex problems, and optimize business processes.
• Facilitate ad hoc analytics requests from various departments, including Sales, Dealing, Operations, and Compliance.
• Liaise with the Data Warehouse team to ensure required metrics for analysis are defined and implemented.
• Define, evaluate, and monitor key metrics for business initiatives.
• Share knowledge and expertise with other team members to enable continued team skills development.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a data scientist/analyst.
• Proven experience in statistical analysis, with a deep understanding of concepts like hypothesis testing, correlation, regression, and distributions.
• Proficiency in Python and strong SQL skills, including complex query writing.
• Familiarity with the finance industry and CFD trading is a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a track record of delivering high-accuracy solutions promptly.
• Demonstrated ownership of quality control processes and error resolution in data analysis.
• Experience in conducting research and implementing solutions to improve processes and generate revenue.
• Experience in version control software such as git; Strong desire to learn new analytical skills and techniques.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Able to work efficiently with international staff.
• Intuitive, analytical mind and good problem-solving skills.
• Able to deal with ambiguity in defining activities and direction.
• Proactive and persistent.
• Experience with agile practices preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.

Working Hours and Location

40 hours/week - Monday to Friday. All Fxcm employees must be eligible to work in Cyprus.
