About the Role:
As a Product Support Engineer at Asm International, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for complex electronic and electro-mechanical semiconductor capital equipment at our customer locations around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installations, qualification, preventative maintenance, and remedial repair maintenance on complex electronic/electro-mechanical semiconductor capital equipment.
- Interaction with Hardware, Electrical, Controls, Process, and Software engineering teams to become the system level expert on new products being developed.
- Owns first build and test of the new product in the development lab, working closely with engineering teams providing real-time feedback of issues and recommending solutions.
- Perform tool-down repair support in complex situations; work in variedly formed teams; develop action plans and presentations for problem resolutions.
- Create and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through advanced customer service skills.
- Implement permanent solutions while maintaining a "safety first" mentality.
- Comprehensive and swift reporting for new products in the field.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Field service/customer support experience and knowledge in installation and startup of systems (preferably in the semiconductor industry).
- Good hands-on skills.
- Valid driver's license and passport.
- Ready and willing to travel globally around 30% of the time.
