Job Summary:
Takeda is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team in Rieti. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the efficient management of our automated warehouse, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in the handling and storage of plasma and intermediate products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational plans for the new automated warehouse, ensuring seamless integration with our cold chain logistics.
- Oversee the inbound and outbound flow of plasma and intermediate products, ensuring accurate tracking and inventory management.
- Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives in the warehouse, identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the warehouse, providing insights and recommendations for process optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication across the organization.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with cGMP and EHS regulations.
- Provide training and coaching to warehouse staff on new processes and procedures, ensuring a high level of competence and expertise.
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, ensuring the highest level of efficiency and productivity in the warehouse.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., industrial engineering, computer science, or related field).
- Proven experience in managing automated warehouses, preferably in cold chain logistics.
- Strong knowledge of automation, programming languages, and ERP systems (JDEdwards preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of cGMP and EHS regulations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop staff.
- Fluent English language skills.
