Amazon EU SARL (Italy Branch) - D68 Control Systems Engineer

Become a vital part of Amazon Logistics by contributing to the development of an exceptional last mile delivery system aimed at surpassing customer expectations through efficient, precise, and economical delivery solutions. We are in search of a Control Systems Engineer to enhance and standardize our Last Mile delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement innovative engineering solutions for Last Mile logistics
  • Lead the development of designs for optimal operational solutions within the Last Mile framework
  • Create technical specifications for Material Handling Equipment
  • Initiate and facilitate continuous improvement events
  • Champion ongoing enhancement and innovation initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with diverse teams to develop impactful solutions

About the Team:

The AMZL EU Engineering Excellence Team is dedicated to standardizing and enhancing engineering solutions, ensuring the provision of safe, scalable, and reliable technologies. Join us in spearheading technical improvement initiatives and maintaining technical consistency with an emphasis on automation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in pioneering projects and make a significant impact within the delivery sector.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Experience in project management and Lean methodologies
  • Technical expertise in Material Handling Equipment
  • Proficiency in drafting technical assessment documents

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA, MSc, or Meng in relevant disciplines
  • Experience in developing PLC code and evaluating technical equipment
  • Advanced skills in data analysis
  • Proficiency in additional languages is advantageous
