We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist Specialist to join our R&D Innovation Department at RGI Group. As a key member of our Data Science & ML team, you will work closely with experts in the field to develop and optimize Large Language Model (LLM)-based applications.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to understand project goals and develop machine learning objectives;
- Design and implement advanced machine learning algorithms for predictive modeling, with a focus on statistical learning algorithms;
- Develop and optimize LLM-based applications, including data extraction, cleaning, manipulation, validation, storage, and processing;
- Work with cross-functional teams to document findings and ensure compliance with industry regulations;
- Deploy, manage, and monitor machine learning models.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a Data Scientist role;
- Proficiency in Python programming language and extensive use of its ecosystem, including data manipulation and analysis, machine learning, and visualization libraries;
- Experience with LLM libraries and workflows, including embeddings, RAG, fine-tuning, and complex querying construction;
- Knowledge of cloud-based platforms, such as AWS, and model deployment as a REST service using FastAPI;
- Fluent knowledge of English and Italian.
- Knowledge of ETL tools and database management;
- Experience with R and related packages;
- Proficiency in Docker and Pydantic's data validation capabilities;
- Front-end prototyping libraries, such as Streamlit and Gradio;
- Proficiency in French, German, or Spanish.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent team spirit and communication skills;
- Attention to detail and passion for processes, systems, and data mining;
- Willingness to learn and deliver innovation-based products;
- Results-driven and ethical.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a quantitative field, such as Physics, Maths, Stats, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
