Our client, a leading Italian industrial group operating in the chemical sector and owned by a Private Equity Fund, is seeking a:

**Senior Industrial and Financial Controller**

The role, reporting directly to the Group CFO and supporting their activities, will be part of a group of two recently acquired companies by a Private Equity Fund.

The companies operate in the chemical sector, therefore experience in production companies is required, preferably with a business on a commission basis.

The role consists of responsibilities in Industrial Controlling (to ensure the restructuring and reorganization of management control processes and procedures of the two companies) and Financial Controlling, to ensure financial reporting to the investment fund.

The role requires the ability to move from a practical to a strategic approach.

  • Inventory Management
  • Interventions to improve the accuracy and transparency of inventory flows related to raw materials, in progress and finished products
  • Collaborate with responsible functions to identify actions that lead to process improvement
  • Guide the reconciliation process between physical and accounting inventory, providing indications and collaborating with involved functions to ensure correct activity
  • Production Operations KPIs
  • Establish the measurement of production KPIs on a monthly basis in line with the Group's guidelines
  • Analyze results and understand the reasons for actual performance, share the framework with management and highlight actions to improve production efficiency
  • Planning Processes
  • Manage planning processes (budget, forecast and support for the elaboration of the medium and long-term strategic plan), accounting and reporting of the financial and patrimonial results of companies and the Group for communication to the Private Equity Fund
  • Monitor and analyze deviations
  • Ensure data collection for budget and forecast definition and periodic accounting of financial and patrimonial results
  • Preside over the evolution of systems and processes under their competence
Requirements

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Master's degree in Economic and Financial Sciences
  • At least 6-8 years of experience in similar roles, within production companies, preferably with a business on a commission basis
  • Proficiency in planning, accounting and reporting processes of financial and patrimonial aspects of companies and groups
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office package
