Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team at STMicroelectronics. The successful candidate will be responsible for characterizing and validating the electrical characteristics of power devices such as SiC & HV Power MOSFET/ IGBT And GaN in discrete packages and in Power Modules by specific measurement tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Characterize and validate the electrical characteristics of power devices such as Power MOSFET/ IGBT in discrete packages and in Power Modules by specific measurement tools.
  • Analyze the test and characterization data for issuing technical reports.
  • Develop and code test methods for power devices on dedicated equipment.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion.
  • Troubleshoot and debug measurement equipment and test setups.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to power devices testing and characterization.

Requirements:

  • Secondary Upper education or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
  • Less than 2 years of experience in power devices testing and characterization.
  • Basic knowledge of power devices such as Power MOSFET, IGBT, Power modules.
  • Experience with measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power analyzers.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, C, C++, and LabVIEW is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems, instrumentation, and control systems is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
