Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team in Naples, Italy. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications for our rail transportation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Software Requirements Analysis: Gather and analyze software requirements to ensure that they are met and that the software meets the necessary standards.
- Software Coding and Testing: Write high-quality code and conduct thorough testing to ensure that the software is reliable and efficient.
- Software Documentation production: Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for the software.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- C/C++ programming language: Proficiency in C/C++ programming language is essential for this role.
- Python programming language: Knowledge of Python programming language is also required.
- Linux operating system for embedded applications: Experience with Linux operating system for embedded applications is necessary.
- Ethernet based communication networks: Familiarity with Ethernet based communication networks is required.
- Real time embedded systems: Knowledge of real-time embedded systems is essential.
Desired Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of Railway standards EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129: Familiarity with railway standards is desirable.
- PLC programming languages (IEC 61131 / IEC 61499): Knowledge of PLC programming languages is an asset.
- JAVA programming language: Familiarity with JAVA programming language is an advantage.
- HTML5, Javascript development framework: Knowledge of HTML5 and Javascript development framework is an asset.
- Cybersecurity standard and design techniques: Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and design techniques is desirable.
Education and Qualifications
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required. Relevant technical background and experience are also essential.
Languages
Fluent knowledge of English (written and spoken) is required.
