Overview

STMicroelectronics is seeking a talented individual to join our team as an intern in the Edge AI domain. This internship is part of an active R&D project aimed at enriching the set of web-based tools provided by ST around its ecosystem of smart components designed for artificial intelligence applications.

Project Background

The project focuses on evaluating how existing Python modules can be ported and executed in the browser sandbox, by assessing the effort required to adapt them to the new execution stack. The goal is to wrap the Python modules in a library ready to be used in existing web browser applications and test them with real embedded devices connected to a local PC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing Python modules for porting to the browser sandbox
  • Assess the effort required to adapt the modules to the new execution stack
  • Wrap the Python modules in a library for use in web browser applications
  • Test the library with real embedded devices connected to a local PC

Requirements

  • Experience with software development and object-oriented programming paradigm
  • Knowledge of Python language
  • Experience with web programming (browser side)
  • Experience with C++ and DLL
  • Problem-solving, proactive, and smart thinking
  • Technical English writing and reading

Desired Skills

  • Experience with WebAssembly
