Mission of the Role:

The primary focus of this position is to engage in test engineering activities within the realms of RF, digital, electrical, and optical technologies, specifically tailored for aerospace and avionics applications.

Main Responsibilities:

The RF and Antenna Test Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Establishing test methodologies, sequences, and tailored setups for RF, electrical, and optical assessments.
  • Creating comprehensive test plans, procedures, and documentation.
  • Developing operational applications and automated processes for RF and optical testing.
  • Conducting RF, electrical, and optical testing activities leading to the final delivery of aerospace and avionics systems and components.
  • Performing post-test data processing and analysis.
  • Understanding mechanical integration and RF/DC/optical harness connections.
  • Identifying requirements for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and facilities.
  • Designing RF/EGSE/OGSE and coordinating Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration, and Testing (MAIT).
  • Assisting in anomaly investigations to determine root causes.
  • Participating in Lessons Learned sessions.
  • Adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations in cleanroom and workshop settings.

Education and Training:

Essential:

  • Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering.

Desirable:

  • Post-graduate qualification.

Experience:

Essential:

  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in RF/Optical Test Engineering, including integration and preparation of test procedures, along with solid experience in RF, electrical, and optical testing using common measurement techniques and instrumentation, as well as analysis of test results and report generation.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with the Verification and Validation (V&V) process.
  • Experience in defining AIT plans.
  • Basic understanding of digital, electrical, RF, and optical design principles.
  • Knowledge of crimping and soldering processes according to ECSS standards.
  • Ability to operate Thermal Vacuum and Climatic Chambers.
  • Experience with projects adhering to ECSS standards and DO-160.

Tool and Product Requirements:

  • Familiarity with DOORS (preferred).
  • Experience with LabVIEW (preferred).
  • Proficiency in MATLAB (preferred).
  • Knowledge of programming languages (preferred).
