About the Role

ING Bank NV is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join its Wholesale Banking Energy Sector team in Milan. As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the team in originating, structuring, and executing corporate and project financings, with a focus on Renewable and New Energies transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate and execute corporate and project financings, with a focus on Renewable and New Energies transactions.
  • Support the team in preparing marketing and pitch materials, risk/return analysis, and due diligence analysis.
  • Develop and review project finance debt models, and negotiate legal documentation.
  • Onboard clients and borrowers, conduct KYC, and engage with colleagues from other departments.
  • Monitor sector, market, and technological developments, and build a solid understanding of the Energy sector.
Requirements
  • University degree in Economics, Engineering, Math, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant project/corporate finance lending experience, ideally in Energy transactions.
  • High level of self-motivation, commercial drive, and ability to perform under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills, Excel skills, and ability to independently work and build financial debt projection models.
  • Flexible and global mindset, authentic and confident presentation and communication skills, and high proficiency in English (verbal & written).
